"Carry each other's burdens, and in
this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."
(Galatians 6:2)
When the fire tore through Rehobeth Baptist Church
on February 3, 2006, the church was destroyed and
the community was devastated. Singed and torn Bible
pages and hymnals, twisted metal chairs and charred
church pews were all that was left of the sanctuary
building.
Fortunately, the fellowship hall remained standing.
Following the clean-up from the fire, the congregation
began worshipping together in this building. Later
a building committee was formed to begin assessing
what needed to be done to rebuild the sanctuary
building.
"Behold, they are of one
people, and they have all one language; and this
is only the beginning of what they will do; and
now nothing they have imagined they can do will
be impossible to them."
(Genesis 11:6)
After two long years and many prayers, Rehobeth
Baptist Church has been rebuilt. Thank you to all
who have made contributions of items for the church
building and for all of the financial donations.
Your contributions have made it possible for us
to restore the church building completely and to
refurnish the interior of the new building.
May God bless you so that all of you can be the
salt and the light of the world as our Christ Jesus
asked us to be.
“But this I say, He which
soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and
he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”
(2 Corinthians 9:6)
Rededication
On Sunday February 3, 2008, Rehobeth
Baptist Church will rededicate our new church
facility. Most of the work has been completed,
and we are filled with thanksgiving for the gifts
of love and hard work which have made this day
possible.
We will celebrate with a special
“Service of Rededication”. The service
will begin at 10:00 in the morning where we will
be Looking Back at the history of Rehobeth Baptist.
The morning worship will begin at 11:00 a.m.,
when we will welcome John Mount, who will bring
the message. Lunch will be served in the fellowship
hall from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Following lunch we
will continue our celebration as we begin Looking
Forward to the future of Rehobeth Baptist.
We hope anyone who is able will
plan to share this glorious day with us as we
thank God for His blessings on this church and
congregation.
